Second International Ceramics Symposium 2011

Cost: US$400 plus transport to/from Eskisehir, Turkey. This will cover:-
Accommodation at University Guest House, all meals, welcome and farewell parties, organised excursions and social activities.
Plus, pre-made clay forms for decoration (5), decoration materials, firings. The cost to be paid on arrival not in advance.
Artists will receive a Participation Certificate to be given at the end of the Symposium
Artists will be requested to bring traditional music (CD), traditional foods and drinks of their countries with them towards social occasions.
Artists will be requested to bring their traditional costumes or an original costume in order to wear at the goodbye party.
One of the five works of each artist, decorated during the symposium will be included in the Art Collection of Anadolu University. The artists may take home the rest of their decorated forms with them.
At the end of the symposium, an exhibition will be organized in the art gallery of Anadolu University of the artist’s works.
During the symposium a ceramic wall panel will be produced via collaboration of all participants, with the theme of “Aviation”, to be installed on a wall of a building in Anadolu University campus. All artists are invited to take part in this work.
All the artists are invited to make a presentation about their works, autobiographies, countries, faculties etc. It is important for artists to bring their presentation materials (slideshow, powerpoint presentation, videos etc.) with them.
During the symposium, on scheduled days sightseeing tours will be organized in order to introduce our Turkish history and cultural identity and perceive our environment.
In order to be utilized by international broadcastings, TV A (Anadolu University Channel) is going to record documentary shoots during the symposium, to introduce participant artists’ art lives and artwork (with the permission of artists).
