Creative Craftsmanship

For an engaging glimpse of creative craftsmanship, and for those with an interest in old technologies that maybe could do with a touch of revival, here is a short video of American Artist in Residence at the V&A in London, Michelle Erickson, as she works out how to recreate  an inlaid agate-ware, Eighteenth Century teapot. No matter how experienced you are I imagine there will be at least a few tiny curls of new information in her demo and commentary.
Go to….  and then maybe give some consideration to how this technology from a Staffordshire factory can be incorporated in a contemporary sense perhaps. You’d be following in some fine footsteps, Paul Scott, Robert Dawson, Walter Keeler for a start….
