More Awards

The OBJECTIVE ART Awards 2013 will be held for the third time out at Mangere Arts Centre – Nga Tohu o Uneuku which is an Auckland City Council venue.

This year they offer a total prize money of $9500.

The last two years the main award has been won by jewellers and representation by ceramics has been pretty minimal. Sole jurors have been Philip Clarke and then Areta Wilkinson. No announcement yet about this year’s judge.

The venue is pretty new and the spaces good. Last year’s show was very well displayed and the opening saw the most lavish local hospitality. Tiny club sandwiches and many chocolate eclairs!

Entry by image and deadline is August 20th.

Absolutely worth the effort of getting there and supporting.
